Kiran Chahal is trained illustrator who works mostly as a mural artist. She uses vibrant colours and repetitive flowing patterns around central figures.
Her work is usually painted straight onto walls and so becomes part of the fabric of the building she is working in. She involves the public at every opportunity within her works and has worked with a wide variety of people. Past works have included a ceiling artwork at the A&E Department of Broomfield Hospital in Essex and a 'Respect' mural created through 3 weeks of drop-in workshops with teenagers focusing on what they would like respect for.
