Barbara Disney - Residency for Mosaic Water Feature, 37 Whittucks Road

Barbara has over 20 years experience of facilitating participatory arts projects. She works with a range of artforms including mosaic, textile and digital image manipulation. She has often worked in partnership with local authorities, architects, landscape designers, environmental and educational establishments and collaborated with performance and other artists.

Other recent projects have included a series of mosaic floor works and vinyl designs for flooring at the St Pauls Learning and Family Centre in Bristol and several artist residencies based around aspects of recycling in London, Wolverhampton, Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Barbara also undertakes private commissions.

Barbara believes in making art accessible to all sectors of the community and challenging preconceived ideas of the nature of ‘art’, whilst working in whatever way is most appropriate to the individual or group.
