Lucy Turner is a printmaker using traditional methods combined with contemporary technology to create varying print styles. She often prints onto metals and uses lacquers for protection on top of the printed metals but also to allow the semi reflective qualities of the metal to be seen.
She considers it important when designing art for public spaces to create art with input from the people who will interact with it. She works with community arts, children and adults with varying abilities.
At present she is working alongside 10 other artists at the Mater Hospital in Dublin creating a series of panels, a combination of screen printing and ceramic and also creating an individual printed wall sculpture.
