There are 36 artworks for 15 new units on 4 sites. They range from entrance glazing and water features to specially designed furniture and flooring. 30 Artists from all over the UK have been involved. All the artists worked with service users and staff to develop the designs, involving them in hands-on workshops. Some artworks are the culmination of artist residencies. "The range of different art projects in different mediums is very impressive and has involved older users, those in secure and intensive care units as well as other inpatients. The design process has included trips to artists' studios, artists working with school children and the community" said Dr Susan O'Connor.
