North Somerset: Long Fox Older Adult Unit Privacy Screens - Natasha Rampley
Natasha Rampley has created two separate and unique privacy screens
for the two separate wards at the Long Fox Unit.
In the functional ward, she has made a sensory mosaic with stained glass
panel inset of woodpeckers and a spring garden. Inspired by themes of
nature and two green woodpeckers resident near the Long Fox Unit.
In the older adult assessment ward, the mosaic shows the beachfront at
Weston-Super-Mare. Shells and sand as well as mosaic invite people to
touch the tactile surface.
The privacy screens provide interest, distraction and stimulation and encourage walking routes around the ward.
