Callington Road

AWP planned capital developments of approximately £72 million across a series of new building developments in Avon. The building developments were carried out through a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) partnership with Ryhurst. Fifteen new units were built across four sites. Sixteen artwork commissions were installed on the Callington Road site

The new developments at Callington Road Hospital consisted of:

• Adult Acute (46 beds)
• Education, catering & Management Facilities (including Clinical Academy)
• 20 rehabilitation places in 2 houses
• Intensive care (12 beds)
• Drugs misuse (5 beds)
• Therapies unit
• Older Adult Acute (44 beds)
• Older Adult Resource Centre
