South Gloucestershire

AWP planned capital developments of approximately £72 million across a series of new building developments in Avon. The building developments were carried out through a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) partnership with Ryhurst. Fifteen new units were built across four sites. Six artwork commissions were installed on the South Gloucestershire site.

The new developments for South Gloucestershire are located near Bristol and consist of:

• Women’s PICU
• Community Rehabilitation Unit at 37 Whittucks Road, Hanham (9 beds plus two 3-bedroomed self-contained flats)
• Weston Ward Adult Acute and High Dependency Unit at Southmead Hospital (not part of the PFI)

• Medium Secure Services
• Callington Road
• North Somerset
• South Gloucestershire
• Private Finance Initiative
