Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust

Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) is one of the largest specialist mental health care trusts outside London. It was established in April 1999 in response to a review of mental health services in the Avon Health Authority area by the Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health. Since 2001 the Trust has provided integrated health and social care services to people experiencing mental distress in Wiltshire and Swindon. It has a turnover of £120m and over 3,600 staff.

AWP is committed to integrating the arts into the new facilities currently being developed across the Avon area of the Trust.

By doing so it aims to create the best possible healthcare environments for service users and staff, as well as a strong, coherent and reassuring identity for the new mental health services in the community.
