Ryhurst

Ryhurst, part of the Rydon Group, is the PFI partner building and managing the new developments. Ryhurst is responsible for the funding of the development and its future maintenance. Ryhurst will own the buildings and any fixed assets for 30 years, after which they will revert to AWP. During this 30 year period AWP will lease the building from Ryhurst and pay it an agreed fee for facilities management.

Rydon Construction was the construction company contracted by Ryhurst to build the new facilities across the various sites.

Architects Deveureux were the concept architects and provided interior design for the new facilities at Blackberry Hill for Medium Secure Services and South Gloucestershire.

Building Design Partnership were the concept architects for the Callington Road facilities, the new rehabilitation house at 37 Whittucks Road, Hanham and the three North Somerset sites. They were also the detail architects and interior designers for 37 Whittucks Road and North Somerset.

Frederick Gibberd Partnership were the detail architects for the Women’s PICU at Blackberry Hill and, Callington Road.

Landscape architects Cooper Partnership provided landscape design for all developments.

Rydon Property Maintenance was the company contracted by Ryhurst to maintain the hospital sites. It will deliver building maintenance and estates management.
